Silent Night Andrea Bocceli

In this video, Italian born Andrea Bocelli sings a moving rendition of Silent Night.

Born on a farm, he was only 12 when he lost his eyesight completely after an accident during one of his soccer games.

By that time, his love for music was being nurtured and he eventually learned to play the piano, flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, harp, guitar and drums.

He won his first singing competion at the age of 14. His penetrating tenor voice later helped him find jobs when he needed money to help him pay for college.

In college he earned a degree in law and spent one year as a court appointed lawyer.

Not too long after that he went to an audition and soon found himself singing with Luciano Pavarotti which brought him instant fame.

He continues to inspire.
