Give Mr. Obama a chance instead of being against him just because he’s not of your political persuasion. I didn’t vote for him but he is what we have and he deserves to be respected. The man is trying to clean up a mess that was left for him and since people keep thinking that he can do it overnight, he has reminded us that he inherited it. What of it? It’s true. At least he is trying, which is something I didn’t see Bush do because Bush didn’t care about helping people. His interest was in going after a man who threatened to kill his father. That is why we invaded Iraq and for no other reason. I got sour on Bush real early. I don’t have blinders on about my children or politicians. Some of you sound like a parent who thinks their child does no wrong but you can point your finger at those that you think do. Do us all a favor and don’t run for public office. You’re too one-sided.

Dee Dee, if George W. Bush didn’t take us down, Obama isn’t. The man is trying to help people, give him a change instead of faulting him just because he is not in your political party. You have blinders on to what Bush did to this country because he is of your political party. The only people Bush helped were the rich. I voted for him the first time, but not the second time. I met him and he is without a doubt the most arrogant, self-righteous person I have met thus far. The disrespect you show for Obama is banal.

Loved your message Jan. Some people have used this site to put their negative, personal thoughts on. So let me remind you that Bush took us to war with a country that did nothing to us. Hussein was not responsible for 9/11. Osama bin Laden was and he is on film gleefully taking responsibility for us. Clinton balanced the budget and in just a few short months Bush had us so far in debt our great grandchildren will feel the effects of it. Bush outsourced American jobs to other countries and gave China and South America everything in trade agreements and the U.S. got the short end of the stick, as usual. If you are going to espouse your thoughts, at least be honest.

Jill, Obama does not have an “h” in it.
