The Power Of Words

Since the beginning of time the spoken word has had great influence. Just think of the impact when God spoke the words “Let There Be Light”…

We are all familiar with how a simple change in the tone of our voice can transform a message from sarcasm to love and vice versa.

In today’s digital age, with many of us texting and emails instead of speaking, it can be even more tricky to convey the message intended.

As we see in this moving video, a simple change in the words we use can make a big difference.

  1. It’s amazing how a simple change in how we communicate can make all the difference in the world. What a great visual (sorry for the obvious remark) representation on how easy it really is to make a difference.
This reminds me of the saying, “When you change the way you see things, the things you see change.”

    Have a GREAT day, everyone!

that is so true and powerful,if we all did this think of how much better this world would be ,

  3. ED says:

WOW, what a beautiful way for someone to change the “words”. I guess if we would always think before we speak the world would be a much better place to live in! It so important to remember that words DO hurt more than anything. It always important to remember to be careful what we say ss later we may have to eat those same words! So with these words I say…”peace and blessings to all who read this”.
    Have a Blessed Day!

  4. Susan says:

Very Moving. It brought me to tears, so so true words hurt more than anything. But tapping into who we really are by showing kindness to others goes a very long way.
    Thankyou for sharing :)

  5. Marc Grandmaison says:

How fortunate we are to have received the Gifts we all take for granted. Share these Gifts and the world will be a better place. Today, as tomorrow is beautiful but not all of us will know it unless you or I give witness for someone.
I wish you Peace, share it with someone.
You will be glad you did!

I believe this video was sent for me today from God himself. I have opened my mouth and words so unkind came out when in retrospect should have been kind words not fighting words. I have felt bad ever since. God speaks to us if we just open our eyes and ears and really listen to him speaking. Thanks for this video as it has helped me come back to the way God wants us to be

This shows how powerful a simple jester can do. God Bless this beautiful person that wrote these words on a piece of cardboard. She was so wonderful that she even came back from where she was going to do this. I’m sure she was busy and my Jesus walk with her where ever she goes. I have not seen such a beautiful person in a long time. Thank you Thank you Thank you You You are wonderful. .Delores Taylor

It is so easy and incredible. Most of us forget in everydays routine that just a few words can change the whole life. ” A word can kill one, and a word can cure one”.I dont remember where have i read this phrase, but i think it shows the whole power of a word.

He was created by GOD,like ALL of us,and therefore commands respect, from the human race if we have a compassionate bone in our bodies.Giving chump change to him,is like giving chump time to the Almighty. And GOD takes note in everything we do.So lets all of us do better from here on ,OK

  19. Marge Dawson says:

Thank you for the reminder, we are all so busy with our own rushed lives and the words come out of our mouths so quickly. I am guilty of this more with my own loved ones, I must confess, thank you for the reminder that they are God’s Blessing to me and I really love them all. As God has commanded us, ” To love one another as He has loved us”. God Bless, Love Marge. (pass the tissue box!)

  21. Jeanie says:

I’m teary-eyed and all inspired. Amazing video. Life is just too short NOT to help others. Bless you all!

  22. This video was so very beautiful. What that beautiful young woman did for that dear blind man. I love the stories of Jesus when He cures the blind, the lepers, and all the others that He cured. How could anyone hurt a beautiful person as God the Son. When I see someone who is blind, my heart goes out to them. When I volunteered in Hospice, I prayed the Chaplet of Mercy for each patient that I visited, because Jesus had promised in His apparitions to St. Faustina, that if the Chaplet of Mercy was prayed for a person who was dying, that He, (Jesus) would stand between that person and God the Father and ask God to forgive that person their sins and take them to Heaven. I hope some day to meet all those persons for whom I prayed the Chaplet of Mercy. It did not matter to me of which faith they professed to be, they are all God’s children.

    Cute..and true

  24. Kathy says:

Words are so powerful, yet we use them loosely sometimes. This video has an indelible lesson for all of us, its not what we say, but how we say it. Truly inspiring video.
