We Are The World Video 25 For Haiti
The recording of ‘We Are The World 25 For Haiti’ embodies the same enthusiasm, sense of purpose and generosity as the original recording 25 years ago. Through the contributions of the new voices to this rendition of ‘We Are The World,’ and with the help of our partners, the We Are The World Foundation will be committed to transparency and will help further the spirit of activism that was at the heart of the original song and movement.
We are developing mechanisms to permit our donors and members of the community to monitor the funds raised, the expenses paid, and the charitable grants funded by the We Are The World Foundation, a newly created not-for-profit organization founded by Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie who have invited Wyclef Jean, Paul Haggis, Randy Phillips, Peter Tortorici and Ambassador Luis Moreno of the Inter-American Development Bank to join them on the board.
The Foundation is dedicated to raising money and to making grants to charitable organizations with meaningful and efficient relief and development programs that are responding to the continuing crisis in Haiti.

waw!!!! This is what I called a gift from God!
Thanks
It is so wonderful to hear all of these superstars donating their time and talent to such a tremendously worthy cause. The tragic situation in Haiti
This was a wonderful video; I felt myself about to tear up. God Bless all of the artist and Haiti. My prayers remain with all of the Haitian people.

Thank you so much for such an amazing video. I am really impressed and want to share this with my friends.
Hello Everyone,
It we can not do anything with a donation or helping by going to Haiti and working there in any way, but the most that you can do here and anywhere in the world for them or for everyone, is to pray with out seizing! That’s what my Jesus say’s for protection, healing, guidance, and for there soul’s in every way, for there loved ones and there family and friends that have lost people they love, care for, one they know and the one’s they dont know. For people in your own country, that God open’s our eyes ,hearts, soul’s to the truth, and agopy love for all, even the one’s, who have no home and have lost themself’s some how or someway. Do a good deedal every day, and make it hurt! Love cover’s all. Make a differance in your own town or city or the person that is old or someone alone or any one in need, even the one’s that make us sick for who they are, even the worst of people need forgiveness and that agopy love. Think of other’s before thinking about pleasing ourself with want’s and our needs will be taken cared by God. Make a change as you walk, Open your eye’s, and see…. Help with real Love and Give with real Love, Be an example to others, our friends, family, people we know and mostly for our souls, how we are all accountable for all and what we did not do, and what we should do, with enless agopy love each day, and starting with a prayer for them and all that are right next to you. May God Bless All, and with bringing people together even when a disaster, dose not happen. Alway’s show Love….. And Pray.
May God Bless All,
& Bring Us All together
With Constant Attitude

Wonderful. If this video continues to circulate, we won’t become complacent. We will remember the people of Haiti.

Sharing is human.

can’t believe its 25 years from the last time
so as we say in my church
grace and peace
One of the most inspiring videos since the original 25 years ago. So great to see and hear these words are still meaningful and used today. May love reign for eternity.
Amazing video… also try listening with your eyes closed, the “voices” are from Heaven
A serious dose of what we all need……”Togetherness & Love”
Do something nice for someone, the “reward” will be yours!
beautiful and totally amazing. i agree with one of the comments … this is going to be my life time favorite, just as much as the 1st version 25 years ago. bless your hearts superstars and the people involved for doing a great job for a worthy cause … some of you may not believe in god, but i do and i know in my heart that He is looking down on you very happy and very pleased and will bless each and everyone of you for the rest of your life. if we could do this kind of thing without waiting for a catastrophic event, surely – it would make a big difference in people’s lives in 3rd world countries and people all over the world who are less fortunate. how i wish! thank you and god bless you all.
BEAUTIFUL, LOVE NEVER GETS OLD.
I agree with Melissa…some can’t send money or go in person, but everyone regardless of finances, race, creed, color or language can pray. Please continue to pray unceasingly for Haiti and all those suffering. Please do not forget Ethiopia, the Congo, eastern Mongolia, Somalia, Chad, Burkina Faso…on and on, and all the areas of the world where famine and drought and horrible wars devastate, main and cause so many unecessary deaths. Yes, pray as you go about your tasks throughtout the day. Ask the Holy Spirit to call to your mind the things we need to pray for. Play this song and rather than concentrate on the ‘famous’ singers (who are a blessing) look at the segments of the Haitian people, especially the children. God help us all.
We realize that we are not separate from one another, we are the face and love of GOD.
I sure would like to have “children of the world cd. My granddaughter had the privilage to sing in the “children of the world “when Sonny Melendrez formed the group twenty -five years ago. She was the only Cherokee Indian and the youngest to sing with the group of children. I will forever be grateful to Sonny and the outstanding artist who made the children’s dream come true. Everytime the children sing their faces would light up because the knew they were singing for a worthy cause. The children are all young adults now and I wish then the best of luck.
