There has to be some other solutions to hook up with this blog without opt-in into the RSS? I am not sure the reason why but I can’t receive the RSS filled at the viewer although I can get that through my opera.

Jon’s painting and message are very thought provoking in a refreshing way. He, as well as manyof the people who have commented about it show they have their minds and hearts moving in the right direction.

When our founding fathers drafted the amendments constituting the Bill of Rights, the very first amendment establishes what today we refer to as the “separation of church and state”. The lead sentence of the first amendment states and I quote “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”.
This simply means that our government can neither mandate or sanction a particular religion as the “official” religion of the United States of America, nor can it say we must believe in a certain religion. Therefore we have the right to believe in the existence of a supreme being as we so choose. If a person chooses to not believe in God, that is their right as well.

Having the words “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance is not the establishment of a religion. When you recite the pledge if you do not believe in God then simply omit those two words as you do so.

I would be willing to bet the people who object to “In God We Trust” on our money do not hesitate to deposit it in a bank account or spend it as they see fit.

Several people commented on the color of Jesus in the painting. I believe Mr. McNaughton depicted Him the way he envisions Him. God is all colors. Jesus Christ is the son of God, thus he also is all colors. So if you envision Him as being the same color as yourself, then that is the way you should depict Him.

Mr. Mcnaughton, keep up the good work and I thank you for it.

I think that Raj has said it quite well. I am an American of no denomation but I do believe in God and He will not be suppressed as long as who do believe are not ashamed to say so. God keep us all and bless our Brave Warriors, who protect our rights.
