Two Voices in a Swamp
Perhaps you read or saw the news yesterday about the autistic 11-year-old girl lost in the Florida swamps among the alligators and more. Maybe you heard that after four days she was finally found.
And it is truly remarkable.

Nadia Bloom was found by a member of her church whom she did not know, who took the most direct of paths to her location where she waited, hungry and covered in mosquito bites. Her rescuer, James King, is not a Search and Rescue professional and was working independentof the main search as other’s hopes were beginning to wane. Nadia, of course, had been missing four days in a swamp rife with alligators. Many feared the worst.
But King embarked on his solitary journey early that morning and brimming with confidence. He needed no compass.
With trail mix and drinks for the little girl he expected to find, King headed out into the swamp. All he had to do was ask God where she was.
King states that he prayed in the early parts of his trek, even when he personally felt he was headed the wrong way. At one point, King found himself surrounded by uncertain depths of swamp water. And he asked God again where Nadia might be.
“He said, ‘Go that way.’ And I’m looking at water. I said, ‘Lord, are you sure?’ He said. ‘I got ya.’ And as soon as I start walking, the ground under the water is solid. It’s only about a foot and a half deep. He took care of me all the way there.”

Soon King heard another voice as he beckoned “Nadia!” loudly into the thick brush.
“What?” said the little girl plainly from her resting point.
And soon she would be in the arms of her previously distraught parents, safe again. Nadia states that she had prayed as well throughout her travail and that she too was confident that “God would lead her home.”
What’s most intriguing about this wonderful moment is the overwhelming evidence of intervention. Often something happens singularly and we ascribe God’s love to the moment, that HE interceded on our behalf. And so it may be true.
But even to the harshest critic or skeptic the evidence here is overwhelming, that a little girl praying for days to be found is indeed found, located by a member of her church she doesn’t even know but with whom she shares a common faith. And this untrained man set out on his own, without the special helicopters that could not find her or the multitude of trained experts who couldn’t either.
All James King had was a voice of extraordinary power. And that voice that he had found previously in his life assuredly helped him find the voice of a tired little girl out there in the swamp.
This is simply God working thru man, how many times have we all missed some miracles just cos we didn’t ask
Reminds me that there is limitation to our human capabitlities and proves that looking through the eyes of God, listening through the ears of God is very powerful and it all depends in our personal encounter and relationship with Him. Ones that happens nothing in the world is impossible…finding princess Nadia was trully an evidence of God working and walking with man, the invisible manifesting through the visible. A truly beautiful and inspiring story. God bless this James King and his total trust and belief in the almighty. If we ask, and truly believe he will be there for us always. I am so happy and thankful this man found this little girl. God bless them both.
We seem to forget that God is still dishing out miracles-we just need to ask. Some are simple, some are great. This little girl’s life was saved because this untrained man took the less-traveled path, the one noone thought would lead to anywhere. He took that path because he listened for God’s voice, he waited on the Holy Spirit to move him. That’s all it took; he didn’t need to be a hero, he just needed to get the job done. That’s all we gotta do…
All trials of any size can be lessened by prayer during, and after. Even if one isnt successful, prayer always brings some measure of peace in the hard times.

I must say this gives me chill bumps, but does not surprise me. God has led me out of danger and delivered me from evil. With God all is possible and I am so thankful to be a Christian and live in a Country that allows me this. I am so happy Nadia is safe and home with her family and I wish I could find a way to share this on Facebook. I love to share inspirational stories, because there are non-believers on FB and they shouldn’t need this as proof, but it just may “make them re-think their position.
Wouldn’t it be cool if we all had the relationship and the confidence to believe that God would direct us like that! Think of the good we could do.

You’re all idiots. Human suffering all around the world, and you pick the one where your god chooses to intervene. Don’t you think he’s needed elsewhere? If you claim that God had a hand in this, you are also claiming that God chooses to intervene at specific moments. Doesn’t that make your god a little….CRUEL?
Since believers are to believe, we should believe this statement that we are told: “Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you whethersoever thou goest.” This went for Joshua. Since God is not partial we can place our name where he spoke to Joshua. He is with us no matter where we go as well. What a wonderful story. What an awesome God we serve.
….let’s ask for God’s leading in all our endeavors and surely we will get our goal….
What a heart-warming story. So touching! I got tears in my eyes when I read how he called the little girl’s name and she simply answered what? Kids are so resilient.
God does speak to our hearts when we take the time to listen.

Are all Jimmy Kings hero’s!?
Amazing story. I was rescued by a Jimmy King Jr. from Russiaville, IN at Bakers Corner when my car caught on fire in 13 degree weather two Jan 19th’s ago! It doesn’t seem dangerous, but I promise it was super life threatening. I was at a gas station and I had a full tank of gas and all oil to change my oil behind my drivers seat! Jimmy single handedly fought the blaze as I watched in shock. He is handicapped and didn’t know I had a full tank as I couldn’t tell him..(jimmy is deaf…but obviously brave and goes with God!) I had worked 10 hours and drove 1 1/2 and just could not respond properly. Thank God for all the Jimmy Kings out there!

This is an inspiring and encouraging story for some people who lost their way… I was once lost my way, but God has a purpose and He still working with us!.

This is the greatest story of faith and it should be on the news for everyone to hear that jesus lives and still saving lifes and doing miricles amen its deffently boosted my faith even further god is good all the time.
Sometimes it takes an obedient, and determined heart to hear the voice of the Lord. God is awesomely great and greatly to bless.
Sometimes He’ll speak to someone He chooses, and they will also hear His voice and obey! Like Saul did.

Well, it is remarkably a manifestation of Psalms 23:4- …”Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.”
I commended Nadia’s strong determination to survive in the midst of danger. I admired King’s courage and strong will to rescue somebody in spite of lack of expertise. Both have trusted God and become victorious.
God uses people and circumstances to showcase His power and love. The truth is there will be lot of snares before us but we can be assured of God’s 100% protection only if we believe.
We must have to be sensitive with the presence of the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction. One thing is for sure, GOD IS WORKING IN EACH AND EVERYONE OF US……KEEP BELIEVING, KEEP TRUSTING!!!

I am triing to have faith but i am losing hope waiting for a new right leg above the knee mine was taken off due to a work injury that happened 6-13-2007 which i have had 2 total knee replacements and alot of surgeries which they did not work so Dec.16th 09 i became above the knee amputee and am wating for workcomp to step up and do the right thing which is give me theraphy and a new prosthetics now . In times of trouble in this world, God figured we needed a miracle that would be published and His word be praised. To think He took an innocent girl, with out fear, full of faith, kept gators and snakes away from her. He then brought a man of undeniable faith in through those same gator and snake infested waters to find her. No one but God could pull that off. Praise be His name
