A Friendship is Always a Friendship

Today’s featured video defines the essence of friendship, a connection or bond that cannot be defeated by space or time. Or by the fact that it’s between a majestic wild animal and two kind men.

The video, as you’ll see below, confirms a remarkable journey of faith, a reward for two guys doing the right thing. But there’s more as the video eloquently points out. Any old friendship, suppressed by the aforementioned distance and time, can be resurrected by a simple call, email, or visit.

Watch the video below and after it concludes, ask yourself who is your lion? If these men could fly to Africa, brave the wild and the odds to reconnect with an old friend, can’t you?

Let us know who you called.

Thanks for this wonderful story. I LOVE IT.

Afterwards, I thought about a really good school friend,
called her mum, she gave me her tel.no.
and I will meet her (Karin) next Saturday.( 8thMay`10)
The last time we have seen us is already 32 years ago.
But I am pretty sure that it will be the same as during
    our school time.
Will tell you about the meeting with her.

    Two are better than one;
because they have a good reward for their labour.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow:
    but woe to him that is alone when he falleth;
for he hath not another to help him up.
    (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)

    Have a wonderful day
    Andrea

I have seen this video before, but did not realize the rest of the story that the two young men who rescued the lion called him ‘Christian’ nor that they were permitted to exercise him on church grounds. I have been so blessed just recently in learning of and communicating with an uncle…a brother of my father I did not know at all. God is so good in the ways He works these relationships. All my known uncles on both maternal and paternal sides have passed as has my dad and yet, here is another who has come to light. Amazing. To God be the glory.

  12. Nancy Salgado says:

This video did bring old memories of good past friends. Makes you feel sad
that after so many years of good friendship you wind up losing them and don’t know where to find them anymore, I have tried with no success.

  13. God gave us all friends, family, neighbor, fellow church member. We forget the importance of their presence in our lives. I love what you wrote and agree with you. My 17 year old daughter, Melena, was killed by a 20 year old drunk while walking with her friend, Joe. This young man killed both of the kids and when it came time for the funeral and visiting our homes, we could hardly get the young kids, older people, etc., inside. Even a stranger is a friend, all you have to do is SMILE, SAY HELLO, and life begins a friendship. Jesus Christ is the friend of us all and the most loving man who wants us to be friends with Our Father, Abba; Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. God bless you for your good work.

  14. ANA LILIA MARTINEZ says:

IT WAS SO TOUCHING. I`VE SEEING IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I`M SPECHLESS. THANKS GOD FOR THEIR LIVES. I LOVE ANIMALS. I`M LOOKING FOR A FRIEND THAT I DON`T SEE FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS. THIS VIDEO TELLS ME THAT I`M DOING THE RIGHT THING, GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

  15. JOSE RAMIREZ says:

INCREIBLE QUE UN LEON SIENDO UN ANIMAL PUEDA SER AMIGABLE Y AGRADECIDO CON ESTOS HOMBRES, ASI DEBEMOS DE AMARNOS LOS UNOS A LOS OTROS NO IMPORTANDO NUESTRA CONDICION NI CIUDADANIA DIOS NOS CREO MEXICANOS, NORTEAMERICANOS, RUSOS, CHINOS, A TODOS NOS HIZO NUESTRO PADRE Y EL DESEA QUE ASI NOS AMEMOS LOS UNOS A LOS OTROS , COMO EL NOS AMO.
DIOS BENDIGA A TODOS LOS HOMBRES Y MUJERES DE BUENA VOLUNTAD.

  16. jennifer carlson~mcmahon says:

ahhh. how AMAZING! & how gentle & the nuzzle ‘Christian’ gives, me too, my eyes are all watered up! all of God’s creatures are Miracles!

  17. Mags says:

It made me cry and just want to share it with my friends…Awesome.

  18. greg says:

With God’s love all things are possible. A wild animal raised by humans and then turned back into the wild. Only a miracle of love could have made this reunion possible. God is “Great”

  19. laura says:

Unbelievable. Amazing. If a lion learns to love and keep that love within him, why can’t some people do?

This lovely story is so touching.

  20. Malou Santos says:

This video shows that friendship knows no boundaries. It is not limited to humans alone. It knows no distinction. Friendship, when nurtured, can make even the beast be the man’s best friend.

  21. nelia says:

Yes, it’s so touching and inspiring. Real friendship holds no boundary and limits through thick and thin. So Awesome!!!!

  22. Elaine says:

I had a lump in my throat and fought back tears when I watched this. Truly beautiful.

  23. ronnie says:

Great comments, fully deserved. But I cannot understand the misuse of the language by ‘Mags’ on May 3rd at 1.12 pm; what does she mean by ‘awesome’? This word means ‘dread’! Can you please enlighten me?

  24. Wendi says:

The everlasting friendship and continuing trust the lion placed in the people who raised him is BEAUTIFUL

  25. Cherrie says:

I could not stop crying! This is awesome! Spirits so pure, friendship so rare! Wow!
