AMAZING GRACE: Lin Yu Chun Does it Again
Not so long ago we introduced you to Lin Yu Chun, a portly Taiwanese boy with a Pete Rose haircut and a special gift. As we’ve been told, many of you were brought to tears by his rendition of the Dolly Parton/Whitney Houston classic, I Will Always Love You. (If you missed it, here it is again.)
We felt connected to this young man on the other side of the globe for different reasons. Maybe it was the sheer beauty of this huge voice in such a strange package. Maybe it was the “Don’t judge a book by its cover” message. Maybe it was the fact that it reminds us that greatness exists everywhere, and we just have to give it an opportunity to show itself.
So, we’ve been keeping tabs on Lin, and it appears he’s done it again. This time it’s Amazing Grace and it is indeed Amazing. I don’t think Lin speaks enough English to truly understand the lyrics but he feels them somehow.
And you will too when you watch this clip of the Taiwanese style American Idol show that Lin offered this gem on a little while ago.

Greg, This young man reminds me alittle of Wayne Newton when he exploded on the music scene appearing on the Ed Sullivan Show in the early-mid 1960′s. Wayne was a big pudgy boy of about 14 yrs old, spoke like country, wore farmer’s overalls and had a soprano voice that captured everyone’s senses. I can still recall the look of shock on my father’s face (who was in the music biz) when this young man first walked across the stage speaking with Ed. When Wayne started singing, my Dad’s jaw dropped — and look where Wayne Newton is today! This will be fun to see where this young man goes. Be well, Hannah
This boy has some talent and really put his heart into this song. I hope he continues to sing for the Lord as God has given him this talent!

Thank you for such a wonderful way to enhance my mornings. I am up by 2 a.m. when the rest of the house is quiet. This is my praise, worship and fellowshipping time. I begin in prayer, then journal God’s goodness, go to Word, then to my email where I visit with friends sharing God’s love for us, and now with videos like this I can engage in prasie and glory sessions to my King and Lord God.
I hope you can get more music videos. I have come across most of the stories in other instances you have on your site at one time or another. These vids speak more for me.
Thanks
