I believe-
That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and, you must forgive them for that.

I believe-
That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.

I believe-
That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I believe-
That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I believe-
That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them

I believe-
That you can keep going long after you can't.

I believe-
That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I believe-
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I believe-
That regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.

I believe-
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done,  regardless of the consequences.

I believe-
That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I believe-
That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time!

I believe-
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down, will be the ones to help you get back up.

I believe-
That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I believe-
That just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I believe-
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've  learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I believe-
That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe-
That no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I believe-
That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I believe-
That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other,  And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I believe-
That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I believe-
That two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I believe-
That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I believe-
That even when you think you have no more to give, when a  friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help.

I believe-
That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I believe-
That the people you care about most in life are the essence of life. Tell them today how much you love them and what they mean to you.

The video, as you'll see below, confirms a remarkable journey of faith, a reward for two guys doing the right thing. But there's more as the video eloquently points out. Any old friendship, suppressed by the aforementioned distance and time, can be resurrected by a simple call, email, or visit.

As individuals, few of us can control the economic conditions that have set these events in motion. Sure, we can control spending, avoid credit card debt, and lower our risk. But we can't really control job security or the value of real estate.

But we can control our own lives, our happiness if you will, by taking charge of that which is within our grasp.

Oddly enough, for some people, hardship is a vehicle and a launching pad for other more positive things. In fact, it can be a catalyst to benevolence and self-worth.

In this article, we want to introduce you to someone who took misfortune and rolled with it.

Is it something all of us can do? Maybe not. Is it something all of us can learn from? Absolutely.

For those of us who have watched his transcendence, it in and of itself is motivational. You never hear Hollywood scandals about Will... just a guy who continues to hone his craft and to raise his family. It's a model for many of us.

But the video below gives us a take on the life of Will Smith.... from Will Smith... that should be of benefit to all of us.

Nadia Bloom found in Florida swamp

Nadia Bloom was found by a member of her church whom she did not know, who took the most direct of paths to her location where she waited, hungry and covered in mosquito bites. Her rescuer, James King, is not a Search and Rescue professional and was working independentof the main search as other’s hopes were beginning to wane. Nadia, of course, had been missing four days in a swamp rife with alligators. Many feared the worst.

But King embarked on his solitary journey early that morning and brimming with confidence. He needed no compass.

With trail mix and drinks for the little girl he expected to find, King headed out into the swamp. All he had to do was ask God where she was.

King states that he prayed in the early parts of his trek, even when he personally felt he was headed the wrong way. At one point, King found himself surrounded by uncertain depths of swamp water. And he asked God again where Nadia might be.

"He said, 'Go that way.' And I'm looking at water. I said, 'Lord, are you sure?' He said. 'I got ya.' And as soon as I start walking, the ground under the water is solid. It's only about a foot and a half deep. He took care of me all the way there."

Soon King heard another voice as he beckoned “Nadia!” loudly into the thick brush.

“What?” said the little girl plainly from her resting point.

And soon she would be in the arms of her previously distraught parents, safe again. Nadia states that she had prayed as well throughout her travail and that she too was confident that “God would lead her home.”

What’s most intriguing about this wonderful moment is the overwhelming evidence of intervention.  Often something happens singularly and we ascribe God’s love to the moment, that HE interceded on our behalf. And so it may be true.

But even to the harshest critic or skeptic  the evidence here is overwhelming, that a little girl praying for days to be found is indeed found, located by a member of her church she doesn’t even know but with whom she shares a common faith. And this untrained man set out on his own, without the special helicopters that could not find her or the multitude of trained experts who couldn’t either.

All James King had was a voice of extraordinary power. And that voice that he had found previously in his life assuredly helped him find the voice of a tired little girl out there in the swamp.

I also remember thinking to myself back then how Mickelson’s imperfect physical condition didn’t connote that of a super athlete. Perhaps yesterday the man showed us all a little something about the strength of his spirit.

Many of you may not know that both Mickelson’s beloved wife and his mother are battling cancer.  In fact, his beautiful wife spent most of the tournament in bed and only when his victory appeared imminent did she summon the strength to greet Phil at the 18^th hole. Their tender embrace and kiss will be long remembered, like the iconic lip-lock of the returning soldier and his girl in Times Square after WWII.

Mickelson’s feat is ironic, given the article we published yesterday about how the struggles of a butterfly to leave its cocoon enable it to fly. The struggle, the story shows, is the price we pay for greatness. Note, that story was put together long before Phil won the tournament in Augusta.

It is even more ironic that the victory comes as the world watched Tiger Woods, the media magnet who has had a tough year too, albeit for entirely different reasons. As Woods divided viewers into two camps- want him to win and don’t want him to win, Mickelson quietly executed his game plan with a lot more on his mind than his media image.

And then on one critical hole as he was putting, a leaf fell into Mickelson’s line and caused a ball headed to the hole to go in a different, shot-losing direction.  One wonders what went through Mickelson’s mind as this event changed his score and hurt his chances to win.

But Mickelson didn’t falter, didn’t throw his club in the pond or shake his fist at The Almighty. He finished the hole, won the tournament, and told the world that adversity can be overcome, that greatness courts failure and the strength of spirit and human character will indeed endure.

We may not all have to deal with a cancer stricken wife or mother at the same time, God-willing. But we will all at some point have a flat tire on the way to work, an unexpected bill we hadn’t planned for, or even a leaf fall into our putting line.

The next time that happens to me I’m just going to take my next putt and go onto the next hole. Just like Phil Mickelson.

Lefty has done a whole lot more than simply win a Major.
