This is such a moving performance by Wynonna Judd. She talks about lossing her biological Father and she realized that she is a child of God. And because of that Wynonna knows who she really is. Her performance is very touching and you can feel her passion.

She grew up in Ashland, Kentucky. Her father, Charles Jordan died in 2000. This was when she went through a period in her life, as she describes as “of not really sure what to do next.”

“You know those times in your life, you know how to work, you know how to get up in the morning but the quiet stillness of the night comes, you kind of sit there and go, ‘well, is this what it’s all about?’ And in a flash I realized that though I never got to meet my earthly Father I will meet my Heavenly Father. And I believe that.”

We all go through phases, sometimes I am super productive and at other times all I want to do is relax or hang out with my friends. Sometimes we need a little refresher, something to inspire us to re-evaluate our goals and wants from life, and this video sure is one of those reminders.

You only want something as bad as you’re willing to work for it.

“If you go to sleep, you might miss the opportunity to be successful.”

“Don’t quit. You’re already in pain, you already hurt, get a reward from it, don’t go to sleep until you succeed.”

Steve Jobs passed away October 5th. Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.”

RIP Steve Jobs

You are your biggest fan. You have confidence. You are a leader. You are cherished. You are looked up to. You are beautiful. You have great abilities. Your possibilities are endless. You are helpful to others. You are smart. You are loved. “You are the greatest!” This is what Mohammed Ali used to tell himself everyday. “I figured that if I said it enough, I would convince the world that I really was the greatest.”

When you believe that something is possible and within your power to get, you are much more likely to put in the time and effort required to make it happen. Believe in Yourself first!

I wanted to dedicate this post today to all the people who’s lives were affected by 9/11/01. A decade has passed and it still so vivid of where we were, what we saw and how we felt. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of 9/11.

In all 150 of the Psalms, the phrase I will was sung 140 times.
When Asaph was disillusioned with the circumstances in his life, he sang, “I will meditate on all Thy works…I will remember your deeds.”
When David was wondering if God heard his cries for help, he said, “I will come into your house; in reverence I will bow down.” And when he felt like he was being defeated, he sang “I will know that God is for me…I will not be afraid.”
The Psalmists didn’t say “I think” or “I feel” or “I should” it was “I Will.” Saying “I Will” is a determined course of action.

This is a very moving story. It is about a 17 year old boy named Brian Moore who had only a short time to write something for a class. The subject was what Heaven was like. “I wowed ‘em,” he later told his father, Bruce. “It’s a killer. It’s the bomb. It’s the best thing I ever wrote..” It also was the last.

Right after Brian wrote it he was killed in a car accident.

The Moores framed a copy of Brian’s essay and hung it among the family portraits in the living room. “I think God used him to make a point. I think we were meant to find it and make something out of it,” Mrs. Moore said of the essay. She and her husband want to share their son’s vision of life after death. “I’m happy for Brian. I know he’s in heaven. I know I’ll see him.”

Steven Curtis Chapman says perfectly how we should look at life and approach each day.

Chapman started off his young adulthood with the intention of becoming a doctor! After just a couple of semester in pre-med school he transferred to Anderson College in Indiana and shortly after that he pursued his calling and went to Nashville to pursue a career in music.

Just this year he received an honorary Doctorate Of Music degree from Anderson College. This esteemed honor followed his 20 comtemporary Christian albums, his five Grammy awards and 56 (!!!) Gospel Music “Dove” Awards.

We are so blessed that Steven Curtis Chapman pursued the desire of his heart.  He is a true inspiration and continues to give hope and inspire others through his music.
